A Country Under Siege

When my parents were born, Canada could have been called a "Chrisitan" nation. They prayed in school and the Bible as well as the faith in Jesus Christ was a large part of Government (God keep our Land ...) and the court system. However, people tend to want to vote for the winning side and over time pragmatic things such as "do not murder" became more acceptable than "repent and believe the Gospel." So the God of the Bible was left out more and more and the morality of the Bible was left in ... until finally the morality was no longer thought of as being associated with the Bible at all.

Today, Canadian society seems to rally behind "human rights" but now totally ignore the biblical faith foundation upon which it was built. So we have people claiming homosexuality and gay marriage and child pornography is OK but speaking anything that offends someone is not OK.

Canadian society seems willing to abandon God and exalt humanity in the place of God. What limits could there possibly be for such attitudes? Some suggest polygamy is next. Others can see no reason why marriage to animals could not be legalized. Who is left to say what goes?

May God have mercy on us and bring us to repentance. This is a day when we are going to have to make a stand that may not be popular nor comfortable. May the Senior Citizens of this country who were raised with the teaching of Christ stand up and speak as they ought to speak ... unless they have sold out to what they see presently as "the winning side."
