Subdued

As I stood on top of one of these straw bales in this little oat field near Lakeville, it reminded me of the long, hot days I spent custom combining fields of grain for farmers throughout the central US as I worked my way through university. A team of us with three combines and grain trucks travelled from Saskatchewan to Kansas and worked our way north as the harvest ripened. As I worked on the combine I would see scenes like this stretching for miles before me and I would often imagine a hand writing on the bottom corner "- With Love, Jesus"
